Cost to paint my house?

There are many online resources to find a painter and get an estimate. Many of them collect your information and may farm it out to hidden clients as well as selling off your information to others who will call you relentlessly for a sale.

We have found that www.PaintingService.com offers one of the best resources for simply listing painters in an area without collecting any of your information. If needing a pressure cleaning company, try www.PressureCleaningService.com.

With regard to cost guidance, there are several factors to take into account. Is there damage to repair? Does the surface need to be sealed prior to painting? Are you changing colors (how drastic a change)? Are there different surfaces (ie: wood/stucco/vinyl/etc)? Is the company you plan on using have the required business licenses and insurance needed to work on your property? While there are many more factors involved in determining your cost, arm yourself with as much knowledge as possible about the job you're contracting out, and you'll have a good idea about which company will do the right thing by what they tell you.

For the most part, we have found that for exterior painting on a one story building, you can expect to pay from .80 cents to $1.50 per square foot of living area.
Best of luck! ^^

Re: Cost to paint my house?

As a paint contractor, the most costly part of painting is the prep work. If the exterior of your house is in decent condition, then the entire painting process should take up to four days to complete, depending on the size of the house. If the siding is starting to peel, bubble, blister or flake, then you are looking at a longer painting process and more money. I would say that paint contractors in the Puget Sound area are closer to somewhere between $1.00 and $1.50 per square foot.
